The Boys Are Back (2009)
Joe Warr – a sports reporter, had split from his first wife and son in England to run off to Australia with the woman he loved. After his wife’s tragic death he is left alone to raise their 6- year-old son Artie, who has trouble dealing with his mother being gone. Joe’s older son, from his first marriage, Harry, comes to live with them too. Harry has never understood why his father left him and he feels abandoned. In a household without a feminine influence, Joe develops “Just Say Yes” approach to single parenting, which at first seems to work. Their lives get full of laughs, dangerousness, and messiness; however, it also leads to misunderstandings and hurt feelings. Inspired by a true story – this tale of fatherhood is not just about getting over of a family crisis — but surpassing the difficulties of everyday life and love that gets the family through.
